Community Guidelines

Rules of the road for keeping BandBlaze a respectful, useful, and collaborative place.

BandBlaze exists to support independent musicians, artists, venues, studios, promoters, photographers, engineers, and the broader music community. These guidelines are here to help keep the platform useful, collaborative, and respectful for everyone. By using BandBlaze, you agree to follow these guidelines alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Respect the Community

Treat other users, providers, and community members with respect. You may not: harass or intimidate others; threaten violence; engage in hate speech or discriminatory behavior; dox or expose personal information; or target users with abuse or repeated unwanted contact. Healthy disagreements and constructive criticism are fine. Personal attacks are not.

2. Keep It Honest

Do not post misleading or fraudulent information. This includes: fake listings; impersonation; fake reviews; misleading provider claims; false booking opportunities; deceptive promotions; and scam behavior. If you represent a business or organization, be truthful about your identity and relationship to that entity.

3. No Spam or Platform Abuse

BandBlaze is meant for meaningful music-related collaboration and discovery. Do not: mass-message users; post repetitive promotional content; artificially manipulate visibility or rankings; scrape platform data; use bots or automated spam tools; or create fake accounts. Promoting your band, services, shows, or projects is allowed when done authentically and appropriately.

4. Use Community Features Responsibly

Community posts, comments, messaging, and project collaboration tools should be used constructively. Content should generally remain relevant to: music; creative projects; touring; recording; local scenes; artist development; collaboration; live events; and independent culture. BandBlaze is not intended to function as a general social media platform.

5. Respect Providers & Businesses

Do not: harass providers; submit false inquiries; spam listings; abuse contact forms; post knowingly inaccurate reviews; or impersonate venues or businesses. If you have a dispute with another user or provider, keep communication professional and respectful.

6. Illegal or Harmful Content

You may not use BandBlaze to promote or facilitate: illegal activity; fraud; violence; exploitation; piracy; malware; phishing; unauthorized ticket reselling; illegal substances; or dangerous activity. Content encouraging self-harm, targeted harassment, or criminal behavior may be removed immediately.

7. Intellectual Property Matters

Only upload or post content you have the right to use. Do not post: stolen artwork; copyrighted media you do not own; unauthorized photography; pirated music; or infringing brand assets. If you believe your intellectual property rights have been violated, contact us.

8. Keep Listings Accurate

Provider listings and project details should remain reasonably accurate and up to date. Do not intentionally: miscategorize listings; fake locations; inflate credentials; manipulate availability; or misrepresent pricing or services. BandBlaze may edit, reclassify, suspend, or remove listings when necessary.

9. Reporting & Moderation

Users may report: abusive behavior; spam; fraudulent listings; inaccurate information; and policy violations. BandBlaze reserves the right to: review reports; remove content; restrict accounts; suspend users; terminate accounts; and edit or reclassify listings. Moderation decisions are made at BandBlaze's discretion.

10. We're Building This Together

BandBlaze is intended to support real music communities and independent creative work. The goal is not to become another noisy social platform. The goal is to help musicians actually get things done: book tours; find collaborators; connect with local scenes; record music; promote projects; and build sustainable creative momentum. Help keep the platform useful, welcoming, and community-driven.
